Hotel Parking: Car parking is available at a secure underground parking deck on site at the hotel. Self-Parking Fee is $45 USD per day or Valet Parking is $55 USD per day.

Transportation from Airport: Conference attendees will fly into Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and can arrange taxis, Uber or Lyft rides for travel to the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta hotel.

Alternatively, attendees can also take MARTA – Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority – from the Hartsfield International Airport. To plan your MARTA trip, please visit this website. The Buckhead MARTA Station (the closest MARTA station to the InterContinental) is a 3-minute car ride or a short walk (0.3 miles) from the hotel.

The hotel does not offer shuttles to and from the airport – however, there is shuttle service within a two-mile radius of the hotel for a fee. Late Registration – if paid after May 3, 2024

• WNFM Member: $1075.00
• Non-member: $1650.00

Registration fee includes payment for Welcome Reception and Farewell Dinner (guests attending the Farewell Dinner must pay $50). Refunds will only be given for fees cancelled on or before May 10, 2024; however, substitutions are always accepted for conference attendance (substitutions may not be available for WNFM social events). Registration fees must be paid prior to May 24, 2024.

Atlanta City Tour | Atlanta History Center & Cydorama

Sunday, June 2 from 9:00-12:00 p.m. EST | $50 per person (prior registration required)
Get to know Atlanta’s past and present - in 1926, 14 founding members introduced the Atlanta Historical Society into the world with one mission: to help preserve Atlanta’s history. In 1990, after decades of collecting, researching, publishing and celebrating the early stories of our great Southern community, the Atlanta Historical Society and all of its holdings officially became the Atlanta History Center. Today the 33-acre grounds hold the famous Swan House, curated Goizueta Gardens, Tullie Smith Farm (a working farm and highlights life pre–Civil War), Centennial Olympic Museum, Bobby Jones exhibit, and the Cyclorama exhibit. Atlanta History Center is a member of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience, which is the only global network of historic sites, museums and memory initiatives that connects past struggles to today’s movements for human rights.

Chartered in 1956, Cherokee Town and Country Club is recognized as one of America's premier private clubs. The golf course offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. Well-groomed fairways and greens keep Cherokee Town & Country Club difficult yet friendly, and the staff can offer tips and tricks for playing your best round. Cherokee has been listed alongside Augusta National as one of America’s most exclusive golf and country clubs. Transportation to the course will be provided, along with refreshments on the course. The tournament will follow Texas Scramble rules - club rentals will be available.

Golf Dress Code: Men’s and women’s golf slacks, skirts, or shorts are to be of conservative tailoring without slits above the hem and at least 17 inches in length or cut no more than 4 inches above the knee. Men’s shirts must have sleeves and a distinguishable collar, minimum of one inch, and be tucked into pants/shorts. Women’s shirts or blouses must have either sleeves and/or a distinguishable collar and be tucked in unless designed to flare out 3 to 4 inches below the waist. Appropriate golf (soft spike) shoes are required.

Hats and Caps: Men may not wear hats and caps in the clubhouse except for locker rooms, the Pro Shop and Fitness Center. Women may wear formal headwear in the clubhouse and may wear hats and caps in the Country Club. Hats must be worn bill forward.

Tour of Vogtle Electric Generating Plant

Wednesday, June 5 from 7:00am - 4:00pm EST | $75 per person (prior registration required)
Limited to 40 attendees; max 2 attendees per company. Southern Nuclear reserves the right to deny attendance to any individual.
As a part of the 2024 Annual Meeting & International Conference, WNFM – in partnership with Southern Nuclear – is pleased to offer a technical tour of the Vogtle Power Plant.

Get to see the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, located in eastern Georgia along the Savannah River, the first new nuclear units built in the United States in the last three decades. Vogtle is jointly owned by Georgia Power, Oglethorpe Power, Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia and Dalton Utilities. Once complete, the Vogtle site will produce enough electricity to power one million Georgia homes and businesses. By June, Vogtle will be the largest four-unit nuclear power plant facility in the United States. This tour will include time with SMEs, perimeter tour of the site, and a planned visit to the Vogtle 3 & 4 Westinghouse AP1000 control room simulator.

For travel planning purposes, please know the group will depart the InterContinental hotel at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning. It is roughly a three-hour bus drive to the Vogtle site. Attendees will be on site from 10-1:00 p.m. with a box lunch being provided during the tour. The bus will leave the Vogtle plant around 1:00 p.m., arriving back at the InterContinental hotel around 4:00 p.m.

Dress Code & Misc. Guidelines: Long pants are required – no skirts, capris or shorts. Flat, closed-toe shoes are required – no heels or sandals are allowed. Cameras /phones allowed, but restrictions will be outlined when visiting the control room simulator. All attendees must bring a valid passport / photo ID for entry into the plant.
